I saved this article (linked article) when I first read it 2 years ago but it was also in the Jerusalem Post which I didnt save :-(  This wasnt a gaffe after all but the truth how interesting.

"But as the President of the United States, I would be willing to lead tough and principled diplomDacy with appropriate at the time and place of my choosing..... "  Barack Obama, remarks to the Israeli Political Action Committee on June 4 2008

"We expect them to desist from those actions, but what we are also willing to say is as a consequence of their changes in behavior, we are willing to examine their membership in the W.T.O., we are willing to look at how can we assure that they’ve got the kinds of economic relationships that can help grow their economy."  Barack Obama NYT Interview 11/01/2007 http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/01/us/politics/02obama-transcript.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

"They perceive that it is a way to leverage or impact or weaken us at a time when they’re worried about United States action in a broader context. I’ve already said, I would meet directly with Iranian leaders.....aggressive personal diplomacy in which a whole host of issues are on the table." Barack Obama NYT Interview 11/01/2007 http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/01/us/politics/02obama-transcript.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

When is it time to meet directly with Iranian Leaders?  When is going to start to lead tough and principled diplomacy?  When is this said diplomacy going to start or end?

So I guess the world and the U.S  IS GOING TO HAVE TO RECONCILE A NUCLEAR IRAN, (see linked article) so Biden and Obama do occasional tell the truth and sometimes say that its a dirty lie!

When ever Obama decides to do we know that this is Iran and 'we'll leave the (nuclear) light on for you'.

When is the appropriate time?  I now that Obama said that 'he will do all that it takes to be sure that Iran doesn't become a nuclear player' trying to find the link.

Iran is 'leaving the light on for you', President Obama.

Trial balloons do come true - I guess is what you are saying.  Biden is gaffe prone, but hat is just his Yogi Berrisms, not his policy statements.  The latter are trial balloons and as you see, they are sincere.

Eventually, all 'balloons' fall back down to reality.  Its scare because its hard to tell what's 'true' and what's true.  He hasn't sat down with any leader of Iran and they've gone nuclear.  Have you noticed how the media has really picked up this whole mosque fiasco just to drown out this story of Iran.

Seriously, how often have you heard about Iran going nuclear besides just a little blurb or peep?

The Democrats have nothing to run on (it has been 2 years since Bush left and the vast majority of people are tired of him being used as a scape goat)..  The media thought they could use this as an example of the "intolerant right", but that is not happening since some of the left (prominent) are also on the band wagon, and the opposition has remained peaceful and strictly voicing their displeasure, not abrogating anyone's constitutional rights (although check out the thread from ID and Dan - they are definitely trying to make it what it is not).  So for an issue for the left, it is a non issue.  But the media has not caught on to that yet.

Drudge has had a lot of it, but as you know, his sight only links to other sites. And almost all his links on the subject are to UK papers.
