I just about completed my very first skin today. I put the final animation in place and I'm just sitting back and enjoying my own work. Everything seems to run fine. The little error checker thing comes back without finding anything. What's left to do? I think I'll add a substyle with a compact menu!
Next thing I know, half of my files have completely vanished. All taskbar, start menu and toolbar images along with my AVIs are just gone without any warning whatsoever. Fortunately for me, I had backed up my files not to long ago so I only had to recreate a few things here an there.
But to the point, what the heck happened to my files in the first place?

Gald you had a backup! ........after a couple of these events, I learned my lesson. I now save a copy before I start any major changes. Cuts down on the spikes, and dips in my blood pressure..
