skinning the taskbar icons

i was wondering if anyone knew how to skin the icons of the current programs running in the taskbar (not the quick launch/"notification area" icons). i'm currently trying to edit a bunch of icons to go with the apple graphite themes, and the default icons that appear there ruin it...sry for sounding like a newb, i kinda am

They're taken from the running applications, so you'll need to use a resource hacker program to open the exe file of each one and replace all the icon files manually.

seems we had a thread once about hiding the icons so that only text would show...cant remember how that came out...
