XP Progress Chunks

Trying to get my head round XP progress-bar chunks and the settings that go with them.
I did a search to see if anyone else had any ideas, and the only thing I found is 40+ days old.

Has anyone found out anything more concrete since that post?

The progress bar and chunk appear to be correct in the preview, but not in the test window in SkS. Also, in the XP shell the bars look ok, but in IE when a page is loading they look kack. Whats goin' on? Do I have to skin WebBlinds as well, or is that something totally different?

Please help before it drives me insane!!!!!!

umm... im not sure what you mean, perhaps you can be a bit more specific and maybe give some screenshot links?

if by xp progress-bar chunks you mean to have it look like its in segments, all you have to do is create one segment, add a strip of magic pink to one side however wide you want the space between segments to be, and then set the sizing margins to 0 on left and right, then use tile as the sizing setting.

Hi Halluci
Thanx for your reply. I'll try and clarify what I mean, and see if I can add some pics!

I do mean the segment version of the progress bar, yes. I've got the single segment and it has the magic pink stripe down the left side. Didn't know the sizing margins had to be zero so I changed that, but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Here is the segment background I want to use:

And here is the segment chunk:

The background is 8 pixels wide, the segment is 7 wide with a one pixel magic pink stripe down the left side. The sizing margins of the background are 1,1 left and right & 0,0 top and bottom.
In the "XP Chunk - Horizontal" section in SkS, "Chunk Size" is 7 and "Chunk Gap" is -1.

This is how I want it to look (faked in PSP7):

This is how it shows in the SkS preview window:

But it looks like this in the button visibility test window:

Whoops, just noticed I had the chunk stretched and not tiled.
Um, not much difference though:

Seems to be that SkS thinks the chunk is wider than it really is...

Any use to you?

Wierd!

Vertical chunk size was 10, horizontal size was 7. Changing vertical size to 7 as well made it work.

Perhaps both horz and vert chunk sizes have to be the same...

Oh well, it works now....
