all menus are completely transparent

All the menu's in my game are totally transparent.

For example in-game i can hit escape, bring up the options menu, then click "save" and both menus are there, making it almost impossible to read the topmost menu(in this case save).

Is there any way to make menus "solid"?

Try deleting the Screens folder in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP).
