Stardock trouble

Guys, I just can't get stardock to work. It's set up as a program on my computer, but when I go to register, Stardock won't recognize the CD Key on the back of my jewel case. I've checked and rechecked, and I'd swear I was entering it correctly. It's the same ID I used to log onto the Galciv site to enable me to download the patch (not that I've gotten that to work either). I'm usually fairly savvy about this stuff, but I haven't found this setup very user-friendly yet.

Can anyone help?
