ok, when i make a fleet, i want a capitol ship as my flagship, but its hard to get it AS my flagship, alot of the times, itll put a frigate or something as the flagship, which i dont want. is there a button or somethin i can do to appoint flagships?
Select all the ships that you want to be in the fleet by dragging a box over them. Then use the cycle/sub-cycle command to scroll through the ships one-by-one until you have the capital ship highlighted. Then make the fleet. You'll probably want to set a keybind for cycle and subcycle.
I'm really not a fan of fleets at all actually; I don't like the way the ships move when they're in fleets. I probably wouldn't want a cap to be in a fleet either since I'm liable to want to retreat it without retreating the entire fleet or I might want it to stay back safely at the edge of the gravity well and soak up experience while the fleet fights the battle.
Select all your ships you want in the fleet. You will see 1 has a whiter box than the rest, thats the flag ship. Use TAB to cycle till its on the ship you want then create the fleet. I think SHIFT +TAB cycles backwards, check the key binds to be positive.
