Scout mafia?

Earlier I decided it was time for some singleplayer Vasari domination in Diplomacy, so I sat down and started to play.

I set the AI to Unfair, hoping it would give me some competition (which FYI, it didn't). Some hours out in the game I was surprised to see the Vasari AI use Phase Stabilizers, although I was shocked by the usage of it. Take a look at the below screenshots:

Now thats just crazy, it started producing all those scouts after I wiped out his homeworld, and its production abilities of course. Thats not all though, there is more to this:

Seriously, what did it expect to do with this? Its like it was still in the early-days of the TEC wars. I understand now why the Vasari was wiped out so easily 10.000 years ago. When the Advent ally attacked there were 106 scouting ships in that gravity well, as you can see here:

EDIT: Well, this seems to be a severe bug, as I just saw every other faction doing the same after I killed blue.

Also, if you're curious about those planets, its SinsPlus mod.

Haha, well at one time scout rushing was a popular counter to LRF spam, but that is a bit extreme, and not really useful in the current version of the game.

Yeah, maybe scout rush was popular, but I thought the Unfair AI would be harder than hard. It seems though it likes to spam scouts 3 hours out in the game.

Well then, off to shower and then get another bad nights sleep.

It's not exactly common, but the scout-spamming AI bug does happen from time to time.  The AI actually won't use them to fight, and since their nerf in in 1.19 the scout hasn't exactly been useful anyways as a mainstream combat unit.  Good for chasing siege frigates, that's about it...
