WindowBlinds / SkinStudio Problems

...need help here!

hey guys,

i have two little questions...

1. i want to change the white parts in my screenshots in the blue texture of the WB. i tried to do something in the WB options but i didn't found anything.

2. and my second question, is it possible to change the font color? i want all the font to be orange.

1.  In WindowBlinds you can change the Explorer background with a texture, but you would need to create the texture (which is easy).  That will cover the Explorer background, but to change more of the window like the navigation pane you are going to need to edit the skin inside SkinStudio.

2.  That is something that can also be done in SkinStudio.

That looks like DieHard 4.0 WindowBlinds.  If it is I would suggest you contact LightStart for assistance in changing those items.   :sun:

What operating system are you using?  I know if you're on Vista or Windows 7, you can change the color of the background in that area under Edit Explorer/IE Shell Parts-->Edit Vista/7 Explorer Parts-->Folders Bar-->Extra Settings.

click on "change skin colors", click on the combo box and select "show me the skin defined system colors" and change the color for "window background".

but be aware, this will change the window color everywhere.

the window text color is the color below the window background. most likely, you'll need to experiment.

and what Karen said, but I think that might be limited and not a global setting... I had to start a blind over because I changed that setting but then couldn't remember where I had done it.

okay, i got it so far. but some i still have some problems.

well, i want all fonts to be orange but i can't find every text. is it possible to change all text with one click?

and is it possible to change the programs part in the startmenu and make it transparent like the rest of the startmenu?

see screenshot for details

thank you so far guys  :D

Fonts are a headache.  If you change the part you want in one place, a lot of times it messes up in other places and become unreadable.  First place you might check is Change Skin Colours-->(then go to the drop down arrow near the top of the page to get to) Show me the skin defined system colors and try Window Text (I think).

I don't think there's a way to make the all programs section of the start menu transparent.

Ok thx gmc2, where can i find these option in SkinStudio to change this part of the startmenu?

There are many limitations as to what you can and cannot change Onklifiziert, the white text cannot be changed at all, no way to do it.  The black text is controlled in the colors section of SkinStudio, you need to play with the colors in the Edit Vista/7 part colours for the rest.  I haven't even figured them all out yet.  Also, the icon text color should be changeable in the dropdown, Show me the skin defined system colors, and Window Text color.  At least it is in XP, never had a need to change it in Vista or 7 personally.

You have to make the start menu graphic from scratch yourself to do so.

thx a lot for helping me LightStar & gmc2

@LightStar: you did an awesome job on this blind and now i know how hard it is to create a WB

..how to change following color (see screenshot)

(SkinStudio is just in english and that is my problem, so sorry for asking so much questions)

There is no graphic for the part he's referring to in his screenshot.  What he's referring to is the "All Programs list background color" which is chosen from the "all programs background" in the extras tab in Windows 7/Vista, and it takes the place of the start menu popup menu for all programs in XP.

Regardless of how transparent the start menu itself is, this part will not go transparent.

Those are the progress bars.  You can change them at Edit Controls-->Edit Progress Bar Controls-->Horizontal Progress bars-->block.
