Precursor Mine or Library?

Which for Homeworld?

So after trying several medium maps with various opponents I'm ready to take the plunge. Immense Galaxy, abundant habitable planets, abundant stars, Insane Difficulty, slow tech, maximum opponents (9 major, 8 minor), Ultimate opponents. Only victory conditions are Ascension and Conquest (no tech/alliance/surrenders).

I'm playing a custom race (max eco/research/hp/creative/luck + 15% morale) with Super Breeder and Thalan Tech

After many many restarts I have 2 first turn saves. One with a homeworld that has a precursor library, and another with a precursor mine for the Hyperion Matrix. Which should I play?

The library is apparently much less common, but I'm not sure which is strictly better, per se.

I tried with both. I can maintain a colony rush indefinitely with the mine (81% military, 19% research = 1 week per colony ship).
