Anyone know of a customized command-prompt?

I am running WindowsXP and WindowBlinds but I would like to know if it's possible to cumstomize the commandprompt (dos)? Does anyone perhaps know of any skins with customized command prompt? Best would be if it's transparent.

If you are wanting to customize the entire dos window, try econsole. Transparent, or bmp background, allows windowblinds to fully skin it, or have no borders at all. you can DL it at http://www.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/~corion/econsole/

It is designed for NT/2000/XP. It will run under 98/ME, but very sluggishly. Source code is also available for DL, perhaps something could be done about that.

a question relating to this... why doesn't windowblinds skin a cmd console window anyway? and why doesn't it skin whisper boxes in IE when in MSN Chats?

The way I understand it is that the cmd console in nt/2000/xp is a windows protected program, even though it is 32bit, still can't do anything with it.

Thanx for the quick responses! I've tested some now and must say I like econsole best. It's got alot of settings to adjust wich is nice and it is the fastest of the ones I've tried. Thanx Dethnite!
