A journey back in time...

Not satisfied just going to Customize.org and looking up all the old LiteSTEP themes....I took an even more horrifying trip to Litestep.com....hadn't been there for a squillion years....but there there was an olde theme of mine...gathering dust...
Now it looks like I will spend another lifetime going through them all again....
Ah, nostalgia....it ain't what it used to be...

I recently checked out all the old themes at Litestep.com too! I really enjoyed it, and I even learned to love the "Wharf" again! lol.
Litestep was the reason I started desktop customization, I just stumbled across a screenshot of a theme while surfing, and I never looked back.

When I first heard rumors about Litestep.com going down about a month ago, I ran over and downloaded about every theme that tripped my trigger. I think I ended up snagging more than a hundred. Some real beauties are still there. And after playing with a few of them, I noticed just how stable those old versions of LS still are. And like Boxxi, i too have learned to appreciate the wharf all over again...

Yes....there is still a lot that can be done with a wharf...[apart from docking ships]....and it is refreshing after the swag of 'bar' style themes around these days....

I always liked wharfs. I think (in the old days at least) it was the item that caught most new Litestep users eye.
I know it was what first caught mine.

Same here, Phil....that's why my first theme had twin wharfs....one each side...something that was 'impossible' back then....but I worked out A WAY...

making my system feel like nextstep was what got me into litestep in the first place. some of the older themes are clean and simple. to many new ones are fully of useless eye candy and i find myself using desktopx objects more and more in combo with litestep.
