i requested sometimes buecauso i don't upload more skins. Well, this is the reason: i have no time to do all thinks i have in mind; and it's more important other objectives for me: sorry for stardock and other companies and software developers, but their visual enhancement softwares aren't their that i need. There's some beauty software, yes, the desktopx, but not the solution. I try to make myself the software i need. THE PERSON THAT USE THE MACINTOSH ANY DAY (LIKE ME) KNOW wath is a really friendly GUI. Thanks, also i don't make more skins for desktopx because there's a lot of people making skins for desktopx. I tried to do the skins in the aspects that before are no skins: more fantasy, more apps. zoomers and more versatility. I don't reached this objective, sorry. Bye

i agree.. i hope you reconsider carlitus. i use a mac too, but really enjoy dx as well. i consider some of your dx objects to be some of the 'standards.'

in defense of Windows (2000 or XP, other versions are unestables): the taskbar ans strat buttons are really functionally, and are OS very customizables. The advantage (in my opinion) of macs are the easy of use, and Mac are the steps using the OS more near the persons.
DesktopX are a ennhancement very useful at user; not only is a OS eye candy, it makes the OS more confortable; but it needs more: hotkeys show-activate objects, some 3D features (at this moment i'm not a programmer, but i think this is a hard work make 3D objects in the windows framebuffer screen), a timeline for really animations, free animation movement for the objects, more security (there's a themes that looses in memory and augments the memory usage).
I'm not a programmer, but i think i can make a little application with all the things the OS need (Windows&Unix&also Mac), but is a work very hard for me.
I thinked i can make this work. I'm a illustrator and a graphic designer not a programmer (well, in other times i programmed), and it's more intelligent make the work i can do, and make skins. In newer times i will do a theme i think is very useful, a theme with all thinks i need
In other order, if the customization programs aren't really usefuls in my opinion, i will make suggestions at developpers.
Finally: DesktopX is not the solution, but at this moment is the best way to customize my desktop, more than Macs, and Windows, and some shell replacements... my intention is not to say desktopx is a bad application, only that is not a application i consider really useful
