I Love Slade

I love Slade.  That would be a musical group.  Anyone else like blues?

And no hearing of Roy Buchanan is complete without 'Down By The River'

Ah Robin Trower.  I started to mention him before but he's another one that often gets the "Who?" reaction.  Trower pumped through at high wattage can alter reality. |-)

Hadn't expected this to take off so much - there are some great vids in here, thanks guys.  (Slade really is "all fuzzed out" up there, aren't they? \o/ )

I still have the Slade Alive album on vinyl... pretty near mint condition, too.

Hehe, I remember the day I bought it.. like it were only yesterday.  I was with my first proper girlfriend after moving from the UK to Australia... and I copped it all the way back to her place: "You, lucky, lucky bastard," or words to that effect, from her brother, who also wanted it but didn't have the 5 bucks ninety five.  So, to appease him some I put it on the turntable and gave him a listen while his sister and I caught up on some romance upstairs.

;)

My pride and vinyl joy is Cerulean... a live double from the original Fleetwood Mac.  Not too many copies were ever pressed and I have one of only a very few left in the wild.  I've been offered four figure sums for it, but there'll be no sale on this piece of rock history.  I also have Jeff Beck's Truth on vinyl in near mint condition... cost me $5.99 back in the day, but it has no price these days, given there aren't too many of those left, either

This is one of my fav tracks from Truth...

I couldn't help it... like share this one with ya, a classic from Alvin Lee and Ten Years After

Lee does lead guitar and vocals... another under-rated artist who kicks ass.

We may be on opposite ends of the planet, but our music is in the same neighborhood! 5*

Here's the one I was looking for.... Hear Me Calling.  Slade did it but Ten Years After is the band here

The Blues is Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters. These Guys are good guitar players, Especially Trower and Beck but they are not really Blues men.

I think this scene from Ghost World says it all.

Big yes on Ten Years After, "go to" albums for years, don't seem to get down to the "T"s much anymore.  Don't think anybody's mentioned Climax Blues Band?
