I've not seen this before. Can you post a screenshot of the specific error dialog that you are seeing?

i also tried uninstalling older version and installing new one.i also used sfc command to check and replace my system files but this still happens.

using process explorer(sysinternals) i got this

image file- ntvdm.exe version-6.1.7600.16385
path-c:\windows\system32\ntvdm.exe
command line-c:\windows\system32\ntvdm.exe -i 1
current directory-f:\program files\startdock\object desktop\deskscapes\
parent - <non-existent process>(2644)

i don't have deskscapes right now but only stardock's fences

here is the screenshot;

this error come up 2 times in line and i choose close both times.there is no problem in running fences though.

If that's a copy/paste, run a scan.

Please try the following:

-For VISTA/7 Users: click Start, in the start search field type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator'.
For XP Users: Click Start and then Run, Type 'cmd' and hit enter.
-VISTA/7 ONLY: If UAC is enabled, click 'Continue'
-Type: sfc /scannow
-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)
-When the scan has completed, please let us know the result of the scan.

These links will give you more detailed, visual instructions:

That's your 2nd problem. You're also throwing a runtime error.

Since the 10th??? As bad as that is, my guess is it's been going on alot longer than that.

If you don't have a system restore or a full backup prior to this mess, do a fresh install of Windows.

i already told you all that even after doing sfc /scannow ,i am getting this error.

this is the order of my problem.

1.pc giving BSOD "fatal error 0x..... something" ,no option corrected this error available on net.

2.i restored the backup registry files with a boot cd .

3.pc now functions normal except i am getting the above screenshot error with login

4.i ran anti virus, anti spywares ,chkdsk and sfc .all of them still i am getting this error.

5.i used " process explorer " from sysinternals site to view what this error concerns to.

6.i got this startdock\object desktop\deskscapes\ .so i concluded that this error relates to stardock softwares.but deskscapes directory is empty.i have only stardock fences that starts with login.

7.i uninstall the current version ,downloaded the new version and installed ,but still the same error.

8 i again ran sfc /scannow but nothing.

9.after doing so much ,i have posted here in stardock forums since it relates to fences.

why would i reinstall the windows,it is easier to uninstall fences?but i would like to keep it.

don't bother to answer as i have solved my problem.i just tried again and again doing sfc.after looking at cbs.log ,i come to know that following files were not getting replaced by correct one

DDORes.dll
fdBth.dll
HotStartUserAgent.dll
icacls.exe
IDStore.dll
msvfw32.dll.mui
i replaced them manually by extracting these files from window7 disc with 7zip.
