The article includes earlier versions of sins being able to build on the surface of the planet and earlier models of capital ships.

Also highlights it was stardock who produced the opening intro cinematic for sins.

Interesting. I'd like to see more of those pre-release models myself.

It probably would've got 9.5 or 10 out of 10 had it included a nicely polished campaign mode.

I'm surprised, despite numerous expansions and updates, that one still hasn't been added.

Campaigns hold your hand, and tell you where to go when. With a little imagination you can make your own by the hundreds.

And once a campaign has been cleared most likely you will put the game away, with Sins you have a reason to keep coming back. :)

Theres no need for a campaign because what you expect to get is:

you destroy a capital ship---> cutscene

you capture a world------> cutscene

A world is captured through culture ----> cutscene

you die in your capital-ship---> Cutscene

More interaction can be in the from of an advisor speaking to you like how they do it in supreme commander. Otherwise its just cutscenes and voice overs.

I know it may sound good to others, its really not necessary because we write our own stories with every game we play.

One of the reasons the Devs have said before is that they'd really like to do a campaign, but they don't want to do one unless they feel they can do one that gives justice to the Sins universe. Thus that's probably why we'll be waiting on Sins 2 for it.

I agree. Its got to be an epic campaign so its best to wait.
