Remote Desktop / Dual Monitors & Fences

I have dual monitors on workstation at a resolution of 2048 x 1152 and I frequently use Remote Desktop from my laptop (1600 x 900) to access the workstation.

From time to time, (not always) when I close out of the laptop and return to the workstation all fences are empty and all icons are spread over the non-fenced areas of the two monitors.

I have set the fences to be locked and unlocked and it doesn't make any difference. The only way I can reorganize the mess is to drag the icons back to their respective fence.

Anyone else experience this issue and, is there a fix?

Running Fences 1.01.143 on Win 7 Pro (x64)

I would go Fences Pro if I could know that this wasn't an issue.

Thanks

I have the same issue. Dual monitors, Win 7 64-bit. About to buy Pro but suddenly icons will not stay in their fences. I open a file within a fence but when I close it, often the icon then appears outside the fence.

Fix this and I will buy Pro.

I have Windows 7 Home Prem.  64 bit.

I use Fences Pro.

I have dual monitors using DisplayFusion to manage the dual monitors.

I use Team Viewer for remote access.

Fences Pro works like a charm for me.

I use TeamViewer as well on a limited basis but without a license it times out on me. TV doesn't the justify cost of a license given that Remote Desktop is part of Windows

This problem would appear to be related to RD more than anything else

You can try turning on the Per-screen res option.

Go here:

Then turn this on:
