help me patching the game please! [RESOLVED]

Hi everyone,

i'm trying to patching my sins of a solar empire retail version (no expansion) that i bought some years ago from a magazine.

I own the complete 1.05 version (no demo or others) but, when i use the link from the launcher of the game, it send me to a page on this site that re-address me to another page on Stardock.com where i would be able to download all patches.

I get an account on stardock, thinking that i could insert my serial or something to prove that i own the game (and than download patches), but i can't find the way to do that, otherwise i can't neither find direct links to download them on stardock or on the internet.

Can someone explain me how to do? I only have to play via LAN with a friend that have the 1.193 base (no expansion)  version of the game bought on steam while i have the 1.05 version.

PS: I forgot to say I have an italian version of the game don't know if it's important (maybe patches are only for english version?)

You have to register the game via Impulse (now called Gamestop) which will then update your game to the newest version.

Download it, register an account, then input your CD key for Sins, and you will be able to start updating your game.

You don't need Impulse beyond updating. Why keep it?

Because it can be used for updating and uninstalling/reinstalling it every time a new patch comes out can be tedius?

Just keep it out of Startup (like I do) and you never have to see it except when you hear that a new patch is available.
