Two things I'd like to see worked on for future

Sins is a fantastic game. Here are two things that I would really like to see fixed in an update or patch.

The single thing that frustrates me most is my constant fight with the left-hand scroll. The one where planets and groups are listed. Late game when it is longer than my vertical screen size it is CONSTANTLY scrolling down to the bottom when I want to be watching the top.  I wish the game would STOP scrolling it!  I want to be the only one that scrolls it.  The way it is now I must scroll up like 80 times a minute.  Maddening!

The second thing is that when new ships are produced and go to join a group or when you select ships from one group and ungroup them and send them to another group, the target group does not update properly when they arrive and join. It does not show them in the group. You have to phase jump the group before they are listed properly as members.

Also (as probably another aspect of the same bug), when I bind ctrl-1 to the -icon- of group 1 (for example), later in the game after new units have joined and I select it with the key-binding all the original ships are highlighted but the new ones are not. But if I ctrl-1 key-bind on the group's -lead ship- instead then they do all highlight properly when the group is selected. But this has the drawback of only showing the stats of the lead ship (you can't see a group status that shows if you need to build more fighters for the group, etc).

But nevertheless, fantastic game! Well done folks.

Users have been complaining about the Empire Tree (that's what it's called) for ages. I really hope the devs do something to seriously overhaul it or somehow make it more usable mid-late game.

You can make this slightly less annoying by manually editing you (diplomacy.)user.settings file. There is a line in their that defines how many units will form a stack in the Empire tree. Set it to 999 and you effectively have only 1 icon per unit/building type, which helps reduce clutter and make giving order to all of one type of unit much easier.

I assume you're talking about a fleet? Most people don't bother with them, just regular selecting groups of units work well enough for most purposes, and factory waypoints can still be used to get newly produced ships to a specific gravity well or even to just go to where ever your capitalship is.

I'd love to see the empire tree get reworked, including a toggle button to make it full screen for large battles.  (Suppose there are big fleets and I want to order all ships to focus fire on a certain enemy capital ship--it would be easier to find if I could make the empire tree full screen with a simple click.)

The best thing would be a dual monitor option where I could just move the empire tree to a second monitor and let it occupy the entire screen.

Lol what would happen if you have two monitors that isn't the same size then you one windows maximized, and 1 isn't

Maybe they could program it so that it's smart enough to handle two differently sized monitors?
