[Suggestion] More magic research branches and more spells


I would like to see more magic in FE.

01. Expand the magic tech tree with more branches

  • Research to unlock more books which in turn unlock traits that allow you to advance in this book
  • Magic Specific Buildings such as a Tower of High Sorcery that give a bonus to reseaching magic; but no bonus to civilization or war research
  • Add a book of magic that requires crystals to cast. Cast a spell and it shatters a crystal in addition to using magic.

02. More spells and scrolls to discover via questing and treasure

03. In the tactical screen provide a higher contrast highlighting of an opponent that is casting a multi-turn spell.

04. I would like the opportunity to research and unlock additional magic books.

  • Book of Nature - a specialized subset of Earth Magic that deals with plants and animals.
  • Book of Spiders -  you already have spiders casting web and spider creatures, so create a book of spider magic that also unlocks a specific building or two (Giant Spider Nest for spiders mounts that your troops can ride)

05. More uncommon and rare magic traits.

  • Trait that unlocks a spell (rare) not in the standard magic books

06. More tactical battle spells that affect the battle

  • Reduce visibility of both players to 1 to 3 tiles (a thick fog, or dark smoke covers the battlefield)
  • Render 25% of all tiles impassible (Earth)
  • Change terrain to damage charging mounts (Earth creates stumble holes in the ground that can cause horses and worgs trip and fall)
  • Raise terrain - that gives units atop it a bonus (Earth)
  • Sinkhole - causes impassible sinkhole to appear in 1 to 4 unoccupied squares on the map (Earth)
