[0.77][CRASH] Crash on new game

I started the game, played through the tutorial and then clicked on new game button in the main menu which resulted in a crash after a few seconds.

I just got this same error.  Same repro steps.  Play through the tutorial, then hit New Game and it crashes.  On Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit.  Debug info from the crash dialog:
