Taken from the Beta 1 Rebellion info:

Steam support for Friends, ICO accounts (i.e., your Steam account now validates your Ironclad Online login), achievements, game invites, voice chat and more.

Does this mean that in Steam I can easily do voice chat with friends and people I'm playing with in a Sins online game? Will we have a better design for making rooms, lobbies, and hopefully finding people to play with on Steam than previously?

I'm hopiing the Steam integration is better.
