Cant see system tray icons

Hi there

I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with making the system tray icons visible. None of them are appearing.

I had a search on these forums for solutions. One of them was to uninstall and reinstall, with reboots in between. I've given that a shot without success.

I've also tried making all of the icons visible in the real system tray. That didnt do it either. 

I'd really appreciate some ideas, because without this working, the dock is somewhat useless for me.
