TEC Missile animation - Don't use phase missiles

TEC is currently using the Vasari phase missile animation.  I prefer the Diplomacy animations for TEC missiles like the Orgev still uses.  The old animation feels better with the "human" weapons such as lasers, auto cannon, and beams.

I was thinking that they switch missile animation cause it was less of a CPU workload?.........

Once Rebellion is fully released, I'm pretty confident that they'll go back to old-school missiles, or Phase Missiles will get an overhaul. For now, the effect is probably a placeholder to make Rebellion run better.

As a matter of fact, phase missiles look differently in Rebellion, i found out, when i was attacking the missile platforms at occupation planet. I think both types of missiles look whole lot better than they looked in previous games, so i would keep it as it is.

I second this. The phase missiles look indeed a lot different now. Also, the old missile effect sucked up huge loads of CPU usage. This lighter effect does it's job just fine.

And it imho looks better this way. Never liked those smoke trails that much, they were not as visible from distance as the phase missiles.

Yes, I hope they will not change anything, they are perfect right now in Rebellion. And the phase missibles looks great, its blue-purple light and it is much better than before. Hope they will do the same good job for beams ...
