Started the game out fine, played for about a half hour, clicked on a warping ship locked the game up, skips frames and in general is unplayable, managed to save, when i loaded this save the problem consisted
win 7 - 64bit
core 2 quad 2.4ghz
ati 6870
8gb ram
any one else having this problem?
looks like some kind of graphics related issues to me. Do you use latest Catalyst drivers? I have Nvidia card myself, but i had to update the drivers, as the game froze on me occasionaly with older ones.
I had only one instance of skipping and it was with AA x8 and AS x16, my video card was overclocked and it was causing an issue (also minidumps). When I put my card back to its default speed with all the same settings(rebellion) not one instance of lag or a minidump since. Also what size map / how far into the game / how many ai? You could just be close to the memory cap.
This is a known problem. I hope they will fix this quickly.
