Ability Effects Toggle?

Been Playing Sins of a Solar Empire for a very long time now and there's been something that has always bugged me, The ability effects.  Correct me if I'm wrong but a lot of the capital ships and now perhaps most notably the titan class of warships all have eye-gouging (not to mention, unrealistic) effects exploding out of the ship haul like some ethereal  phenomena.  I was wondering if it were possible to maybe input an option that we could turn off the ability effects.  In my opinion it can really ruin the epicness of big fleet battles when everything is covered in vast amounts of light that spans the entire gravity well.  I'm not saying they're not cool or important especially when you want to know what ability your ships are using but to have an option to take them off would probably please a lot of people not to mention conserve a decent amount of resources while engaging in massive fleet battles.

I absolutely second this. Make them far more subtle please.

Nothing wrong with the present effects I think. Though I can imagine that some people would appreciate an on / off switch for them (would indeed make it much harder to see what is going on though).

Could you give a specific example of what effects you are talking about? Not sure if I'm following.

Yeah, some of them are a little extreme, never been a big fan of the progenitor's malice cloud I believe it is, makes everything all dusty and hard to see, especially when you got a few of them

However this is what I'm talking about
