[Balance] Anti structure/torpedo frigates and Titans?

IMO, I think anti structure frigates should be able to attack Titans. Titans need some weakness. It is too easy to make a Titan early, then send it to someone else's planet and let it nuke the planet.

Still, if you don't like the idea, then I'd recommend the Titan as a level 8 research as an alternative.

What do you think?

And by the way:

Two things about the Titan:

1: Bigger. Need to increase the overall size of the Titans. A light frigate should be able to fit neatly inside a Titan.

2: The Titans are just too fast. They can go as fast as a KOL. It should be (at the minimum) around the Vasari star base speed.

I originally had this thought too...the problem is, you often are going to want to face an enemy Titan with your own Titan...Titans, more than any other ship, must be able to face enemy offensives...if they are slower than the fleet, you cannot respond to attacks fast enough...

I like them being at the same speed as caps...any slower is going to result in problems...

I don't see slower speed as a problem. They cannot force fleet engagements but they can force retreats. Or they can just start bombing a planet until the enemy sends a response. It feels silly to see this massive ship chasing smaller ships with ease.

I agree...which is why I like them at the speed of capital ships, no more, no less...very few things are slower than that (carriers are one example)....slower than that is going to result in problems though, it will simply take too long to get the Titan from one planet to another...

Well the USS enterprise (the aircraft carrier) can go 90 knots...faster then a torpedo.  If titans match fleet speeds they should have better ability balance, imo.
