Major Game Breaking Bug broken mouse capture

Okay this needs to be dealt with and it has existed all the way back to the beginning of Sins. From vanilla sins to now to my knowledge mouse capture works fine however the instant I minimize and return the game mouse capture breaks making it impossible to play the game at that point with mouse input only.

I have not had this issue in either vanilla sins, the expansions, or  the beta and I regularly alt+tab out of the game. What are your hardware, OS and mouse specs?

My main is using Win7 64bit with a GTX-570 grfxcard and a Logitech G9 mouse.

When you have a complex control system that uses button combinations to accomplish varied actions, leaving the simulation during a key press tends to cause issues.  The solution is to simply press the offending key again, much the same as if it were physically stuck.

In this case, the offending party is likely Alt, but I've managed all sorts of strange results playing in window mode.

Having done some digging this seems to be something of a problem for the G9 series. After you Alt+Tab out and then try to get back into some programs (such as Sins) the profile does not switch over properly and the mouse either hangs or the button configs do not work.

Have you tried updating drivers for your SetPoint software?

I am not using drivers the mouse is functioning as a standard 5 button mouse on windows default drivers

I'm running a Logitech M5 5 button on my rig. Have you tried using a standard wired 2 button mouse and see if the problem with replicatable with that setup?

Hmm well all my mice are 5 button as well as at work but I will see what I can do however I have seen other people complaining about this just not in this thread, I wish they would come here. This is a major issue for the people it happens too I guess it doesn't happen to everyone though.

If you could link the threads it would help to consolidate the information. Yours is the first I have heard of.

If you play full-screen on a multi-monitor configuration, you can get the same issue. I'm using a Logitech Performance MX mouse.

Yea I am fairly certain that this issue has nothing to do with mice but rather the fact that it is caused by running two or more monitors.

This is something that I have not been able to test. :-\

Hey, I have the same issue and am certain it's to do with my multi-display, didn't realise it was occurring when I alt tabbed. I use a logitech G5, but I think that's a red herring.

I can confirm that the issue follows my arrangement, so i cannot scroll right if my secondary display is arranged to the right of my primary, cannot scroll up if I arrange my secondary to be above my primary. This issue still occurs even if my secondary monitor is powered off & not detected by my OS.

If it helps I am using a GTX 480 in case this has anything to do with it, which I think is more likely than the mouse.

Some Dev input on this would be nice considering that this issue has been around since the start of sins and I have never seen it addressed.
