Does stardock have any changes for a diplomatic victory?

Because right now it is severely anti-climatic the newer game modes have a lot of purpose and im so glad that they are adding them. The kill capital planet is going to be great for making multiplayer much quicker, and the others seem to get their goal across very well. But Diplomatic Victory is unused and severely boring, there is no real reason to play this game type.

Is there any news on an update or anything?

It's been redesigned so that you gain diplomatic points based on your treaties and pacts, the missions you complete for allies and envoys.
