Suggestion

Hello. Today I bought this and started playing it. The tutorial was slightly confusing. It sayed I could get asteriods for resource but I can't seem to send constructers over to other planets and I need some research to colonize. Maybe i'm being dumb but it's totally confusing.

I think maybe this game could  probably benifit would a tool-tip advisor similar to what the Total War games use. They do a great job of easying you into the game and you have the option to change how much information they pop up and give while you play. It also gives gives the games (Total War) abit of extra character as the advisors are characters within the game universe.

Constructors do not need to phase jump. When you colonize a planet, the constructors are automatically spawned for you. To build stuff, always click on the planet to issue build orders, never give orders through the individual constructor (you can, but it takes to long to find them ;) )

Only ice and volcanic planets need research to colonize. You will need two civic labs and can be found in your noncombat tree. The first planet you should colonize is a moon or asteroid, which most of the time are next to your homeworld.

Also, are you playing trinity or Rebellion? If trinity, I would try a game wtihout any AI players first. If Rebellion, I'll be updating my map that strands the AI at their home world soon.

I pre-ordered Rellion off steam.

Also thanks. It's super confusing though, I think an advisor that pops up now and again would help ease people in.

It does have a bit of a learning curve but we have a good community here that is willing to help.

Is there a way to go from star to star? I can travel within the first set of planets but don't know how to jump to the other stars.

After a few hours of playing all my planets are turning against me and I can't get them back. *shrug*

The opposing team is shooting something at the planet, no idea what it is.

Also I have no money now.

You are losing your planets allegiance to other factions culture. You have to build a faction specific broadcast transmitter to counter theirs and bolster yours....

Ok. Thanks.

The other thing that Shogun 2 has that would probably benifit this game more, as it's more complicated is a built in wiki.

Also I have no money now.
End of scummy1984's quote

And one more thing, make sure you develop your planets infrastructure after you colonize or you will lose money...

Games just flashed up with militery defeat, can no longer control units. Please re-do the tutorial or add as wiki into it or something. For first time players it's random guess-work.
