Star colors and their passive bonus?

I was browsing the forum a couple weeks back and I thought I saw a post which mentioned how having a blue star would change a ship's shield restoration rate? I must have missed something in the manual. Do stars of different colors have different effects? What are the current effects in Trinity and Rebellion? Does your proximity to the star change the intensity of the effect? (ie. does the passive effect impact a ship that is in the star well more then a ship that is 3 jumps away?)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Its a new feature in Rebellion. Each star has the standard antimatter restore ability plus an additional one. I don't remember which one has which, but there is +20% shield regeneration, -10% shield mitigation, -50% shield and hull regeneration, and +15% weapon cooldown but -10% weapon range.

Is there a star with a neutral or no effect?

Is this documented anywhere?

I think you think its a bigger deal than it is. It only applies in the Star's gravity well, not the entire solar system orbiting the star. Unless you're playing multistar maps or the star happens to be a main chokepoint its pretty trivial.

Just click the star after you scout it to see the abilities.

That was it exactly. I wasn't sure what the bonus modifiers were or where they were applied. Thanks.
