Help Please!

I am looking to get the Sins expansions, and I am in somewhat of a predicament. I purchased the box edition of Sins, and used impulse (or gamestop whatever it is now) and I do not want to keep using it. So if I purchase the expansions off of the stardock website, will I be able to play the game and expansions together or will I have to buy the base game on the Stardock website as well.

The same goes for steam, if I buy the expansions on steam but still have the base game on impulse, will it work?

Thank you for your time.

It will work just fine. The website Stardock set up will let you handle all of that is needed for the game (updates/downloads) without any problems.

As for Steam, all you have available is Trinity which is the whole package and would cost you as much as buy the two expansion packs currently released seperately.

If you get trinity off steam it will come with the base game already. That said, there is a new stand alone expansion called Rebellion due out in June, and even if you just have original Sins I think there is a promotion for you to get $10 off. It will include everything the two mini expansion/trinity had, though you have to use steam with it. The fact that your previous version was on Impulse doesn't matter.

We only sell Trinity direct currently. If you pick the options for Entrenchment/Diplomacy on the sins site you'll notice they direct you to Impulse. But it's actually three cents cheaper to just buy Trinity anyway.
