Is the experience from destroying a ship evenly distributed among ships in that gravity well? I'm wanting to earn experience for my titan, would it be better to put him in solo so it doesn't have to share experience with a fleet?
Solo with supporting frigates is better as xp is evenly distributed between ships that gain xp.
Only capitals and titans gain and thus split the exp gained from destroyed enemies. You can have 100 frigates with your titan or 0 so long as you have no other capitals in the battle, your titan will get the same amount.
Its split evenly among all capitalships and titans that aren't level ten. After that they need more experience, so they aren't counted. This is one of the main reasons that a few high level capitalships are better than many low level ones in some situations.
