Can't Choose Resolution

I bought the game on Steam a few weeks ago. Today I went to go play it, I can't change the resolution. There are no options in the box. I can't even select the refresh rate, when I change it the option to 'save' stays gray.

Is this a known issue?

Have you tryed clicking Options (or Menu), then Video?

Maybe you need to uncheck 'Window Mode'.  Resolutions won't change in windowed mode.  But I don't understand where you are seeing the "option to 'save' stays gray"?

Do you have appropriate drivers installed for your monitor? The options listed there will be what the driver reports it supports.

My guess would be that it's not picking up the data from your video drivers/DirectX for some reason. You can manually set your resolution in your settings file to workaround this:

\My Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Settings\rebellion.user.setting

Just change the width and height to whatever you want.

why is it bugs that were in beta months ago, that were reported by several people have not been fixed. I as well as others are still experiencing this issue, as well as those micro freezes that start occuring every 10 secs or so after playing for about 30 mins

Wierd, I have that issue, BUT I do have a single resolution 1024*768.

As far as the apply changes button not coming up it wont happen till you try to change something.

Same here...only 1 resolution (1024*768), only 1 frame rate (60Hz), and no matter what I change in the setting file, it will not change.

Okay I just found a solution there. Delete C:\Users\Voukos\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games COMPLETELY. Then run the game and it will show you the available resolutions. It worked for me at least...I do not know about the frame rate though...I saw only 60Hz and nothing about 75Hz.

Edit 1: I tried changing the Refresh rate via the settings folder (tried to make it 75Hz) and when I launched the game the previous lovely situation appeared (only 1 resolution available). When I changed the refresh rate to 60Hz, I could see again all the resolutions. So I pressume it has to do with the relation between refresh rates and resolutions. Pretty dumb if you ask me.
