Quick Newb Question

I really want to build some trade ports but it says I need to put a point in Off World Trading research. I can't for the life of me find this research. Where is it!??!? I am playing as Vasari Rebels.

Also, how do I increase fleet capacity? What are the best ways to increase credit income?

 

I've played all the tutorials but there's a lot to remember in one go.

Its in your civic (I think its called Empire) tree, its a fourth column research in the top section.

You increase your fleet supply and capitalship slots by doing research in the fleet supply tab, which should be the fifth tab below diplomacy and above artifacts.
