i cannot update trinity, every time the game stop app says: "please register with the app" but how?
i have the retail (cd) version

Use the "Redeem" button in the "My Games" area.
no, that doesnt works. the serial number is much too long.
You can register retail copies here and download the latest version here after doing so. GameStop no longer supports new retail registrations.
