No Carrier-Class Titan?

First off, why is this in the multiplayer forum?

Anyways, doesn't the Coronata start with seven squads?

And the two Advent titans are very different.  One is obsessed with death, the other with mind control

Titans aren't of any class....their abilities thematically fit with the rest of the faction...

For example, the Eradica allows you to sacrifice ships to help keep the titan alive, and it's ultimate only activates when you lose the titan...this is in line with the AR's sacrifice theme...

The Ankylon has great defensive powers, in line with the TL's defensive theme...

The Advent titans do have at least as many strikecraft as a carrier capitalship, though I'm not sure about starting with 7.

That said, one of the reasons they may have tried to avoid a carrier titan is 1. Strikecraft are one of the major causes of lag. Making a titan rely on using tons of them when they have other options was probably wise. 2. If you have a ship have a lot of buffs and strikecraft it can get too big for the infocards, and as titans tend to get affected by lots of abilities that would probably happen a lot.

That said, I'm sure I'll be messing around with a strikecraft themed titan sooner or later...

I believe the Coronata starts with 3 squads (same as a new Halcyon) but does not get as many additional squads as the Halcyon while leveling up.

Just checked Coronata.  Starts with 3.25 and gets .50 per level, so 7.75->8 squads at max level, so more than a default carrier capital but less than a Halcyon with ADA.

I don't know what "7.75->8" means, but if it means that there are 7.75 command points at level 10, then I'm pretty sure there would only be 7 squadrons...I'm almost certain command points are truncated...
