star ratings

Star ratings do not show up immediately when you rate, they take about 5-10 minutes before they show up.

As a matter of fact, a lot of times nothing you do on WC shows up immediately, threads, posts, ratings, uploads... nothing.  Which I personally find very upsetting.

They are showing up instantly for me.  Along with this post, this thread, etc.

What browser are you using?

I use Firefox ID, been doing that for years on WC for me though, IE, FF, no difference.  A lot of times I will post, look for the post and it is not there at all.  So I leave it alone for several minutes and it appears.  I imagine this is the reason for some of the double posts that occur on the site... people don't see their post and assume it did not take and post again.

I guess I should clarify what I said though, these things do not happen all the time, but they do happen a lot.  Many times too I will have people say they posted a comment or a reply in a thread and I go to look, and it's not there.  Even clearing my cache does not help.  But again I wait 4-5 minutes and it appears.  Just weird is all. 

Uploads not showing up immediately I understand, but is there a delay for an item to show up on the front page that is intentional?  Takes anything I upload, which do not go through moderation, about 4-5 minutes to show up.

bets on how long it takes this thread to turn in to a bitchfest about the rating system?

It will get locked if it does, that horse has been beaten enough.  

There's no issue here when rating, so if anybody else has a problem then please post.

I'm using IE8. the rating has shown up, but it should be immediate, right?

I've seen this happen with my comments on a post in the forum, but it has not happened in a while. The star rating does take a while to show though. It's usually just a minute or two, though. (I use FF).

Okay, thanks, next time I'll come back to it after a bit, see if that works.
