Gauss cannon issues

Ok this is my issue i play sins all the time and i hate the low range and firepower the guass cannons that the tec have compared to the pirate version so i went into the files and found the bit where you change the stats but its in some sort of code so how do i change this to text???

P.S Ive been trying for the last few hours and iam close to throwing my computer out the bloody window!!!.

A more descriptive thread title might have been helpful. :P

You want to download the reference files and then make a mod with them. NEVER edit the original game files.
