Shift+click selection problem

Hi

In v1 if you shift clicked between files, only the files within the corresponding fence would be selected. Right now the selection spans across the entire desktop, ignoring the fence border. Is there any way to make it function like in v1? This is one feature that really matters to me a lot, since I manipulate with icons a lot on my desktop.

Shift (and Ctrl) have always used the Windows functions.  So if you use the shift key you will select everything between the first and last icon.

I'm pretty sure it worked the way I described it. I'll actually do a test soon and let you know if that is really the case..

Either way, is there any chance you can make shift clicking work within the fence? It would make much more sense (and also make it far easier for me to clean up my new icon fences)?

Hi

I have finally managed to get some time to revert back to previous version and see how it functions in this regard. Turns out I was right - it worked exactly how I said. Here is a gif animation that proves it:

 

 

You can clearly see that shift clicking does't cause any selection in any other fence other then the one that's active. So, any chance you can please get it back to function like it used to? Thanks!
