Unable to Trial

Start8 installs okay and the initial window opens with the options "Try" "Purchase" "Unlock".  Clicking the "Try" button changes the button to say "Starting Trial" but then it just returns back to the original text.  Start8 hasn't started and there hasn't been any sort of error message.

Any ideas?

Other problem for me but the result is the same : I can't evaluate this product.

For me it's worse : there is a bug when the programm start, it loops showing and hiding the start menu constantly (one time per second), I can't do anything else that kill Start8 with the task manager to stop it. I just started the trial, I don't understand what happens. Rebooting the pc, uninstalling et reinstalling Start8 does'nt solve the problem...

So if you leave the computer say 10 minutes this issue continues?

I'm from the UK and this morning we switched from BST to GMT if that's any help.  The time is correct for my time zone.

@Neil Banfield : I installed Start8 on an other computer running the same OS (Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, x64) and same résult, repetitive crashes.

Here is the event generated at each crash :

Thanks for that information.  We have traced the issue to an icon parsing issue with a specific icon with one modern UI application.

The upcoming 1.01 should resolve this.

This still fails to work for me.  I'm not going to purchase the product without trying it first.  How do I even know it will work if I did purchase it?

This has been fixed as of version 1.03.  I was able to trial the product and have now bought it.
