When I try to apply a custom background the tile scrolling is basically unusable. The charms still pop out well but the actual Start page just fails. The custom colors work very well though so I like that. Hopefully there is a solution for the custom bg though. I tried disabling settings an different background image settings (fill vs. stretch etc.) but nothing worked. Hope this gets fixed

We made a change and you should download again and reinstall.

It looks like one of the files wasn't replaced in the installer.  It should be about 30 mins and I will post when it is done.

Ok, uninstall the build you have, reboot, then download again having obtained a new link.  This is important as the older link may point to the previous version of the file.

Install that and performance should be better.  Make sure you are not in parallax scrolling mode as that is a little slower right now while we tweak it especially when fade image is enabled.

It will still display as v 0.95 in the config UI.

I tried Decor8 v0.95 beta last night and instantly liked it so I bought it there and then. I love the way the interface looks like a Modern UI app even though it isn't (the X in the top right corner to close it is a give away). Is it is possible to integrate it into the Modern UI Start screen so it runs a proper app (it could be called Advanced Customisation)?

Although you can customise colour schemes, I'd like to see a way to give them individual names with a little two-coloured square to show the scheme (as with the original colours) so I can build up a selection of them to choose from. These would then expand on the (limited) ones already included with Windows 8. Also, I'd like to see more backgrounds included or likes to extra ones to download from the website for customers who've bought it.

It's a shame though that we have to buy something that adds a feature to Windows 8 that really should have been included from the start. Why on earth are Microsoft limiting customisation?

Hi, good application, but I've a problem: the image thai i've selected didn't change anymore. I've selected an image and this was applied to startscreen. I've tried with a lot of images, but now, when i select an image, the background don't change and the startscreen still shows the backwards background. Please help! p.s. i've read that this tool don't use registry or system file editing, then, how this program can change the bg without edits, that's so strange :/

What do you mean by "backwards" start screen?

Ok, this one is the window. I've selected only this background, but in startscreen, the background didn't change anymore :/
