Run at start & hide?

Is there any way to run it at Windows 8 startup and not have it take up the default desktop?

I've tried using the Decor8_64.exe & the Decor8_32.exe with the task scheduler set to run at startup, but no luck.  I can get the Decor8Config.exe to run of course, but it takes up my default desktop leaving the Decor8Config program open with the Metro UI as my only other option.

I can't figure out how to get Decor8 to run in the background changing the UI walls and so on without having to have the Decor8Config open and full screen all the time.

I'm hoping that there are simple answers to these that I'm just missing or that they'll be features addressed in an upcoming Beta or maybe in the final release.

Anyway, it looks like a great program so far and would be a welcome addition to the Object Desktop programs I usually use.

Once you set Decor8 to change the start screen background you can close it using the X in the upper right.

Is that not working for you?

It didn't seem like it was changing anything after I closed it, but it was running fine on my computer at work...just not here at home.

I checked it, and the service wasn't running after it had been closed.  But after I uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted, now the service is running after I close it the way it does at work. I don't know why.  It's probably something I did screwing around under the hood with Windows 8's services that run on demand and autostarts.

I'm not going to question it; I'm just happy it's running the way I'd expect it to now.

Thanks for keeping up with the forum and getting back to the questions here. I appreciate it.
