I update Start8 by installing the latest executable over the current install.
However, each update shows up as a separate entry in the "Uninstall or change a program" control panel.
Right now I have 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02 all listed but only version 1.02 is actually installed.
We are aware of this issue and it will be addressed in the next release. Sorry about that.
It is still doing the same thing in version 1.03 by showing ver. 1.02 also. I had assumed that when you said it would be fixed in the next version at 1.02 time that would be 1.03.
I'd suggest to uninstall all listings of Start8 via Programs and Features in Control Panel, then install Start8 version 1.03a (or better yet, Start8 version 1.09 beta). (Note: Even after uninstalling, upon new installation your previous configuration settings will be automatically applied - mine were). And by installing either one of those versions all future updates/installations of Start8 will only show the last one installed. (Or so I say. Good luck just the same. ;-))
