Start8 Bug/Issue
I am a registered (paid my $4.99) user of Start8 version 1.03 (running on Windows 8 Pro). I found a strange bug/issue in version 1.03. If you install the latest version of EasyBCD (version 2.2) from http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/ , Start8 shows the "EasyBCD 2.2" shortcut installed by EasyBCD as "EasyBCD 2" . In other words, it truncates the ".2". In the file system, the shortcut really is called "EasyBCD 2.2" (the .lnk file is called "EasyBCD 2.2.lnk"). See below from a CMD command prompt (using the "dir" command):
Directory of C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\NeoSmart Technologies\EasyBCD
11/17/2012 02:02 PM <DIR> .
11/17/2012 02:02 PM <DIR> ..
11/15/2012 11:00 PM 1,245 EasyBCD 2.2.lnk

This shows the EasyBCD Start Menu--the "EasyBCD 2.2.lnk" shortcut shows up as "EasyBCD 2.2" in Windows Explorer (as it should) and "EasyBCD 2" in Start8 (this is the bug/issue). I know the truncation of "EasyBCD 2.2" to "EasyBCD 2" is not an intended feature of Start8. Could this be fixed in a future release? I just found out that the "EasyBCD 2" shown by Start8 changes to the correct "EasyBCD 2.2" once it is clicked. I'd still like to see this bug/issue fixed in a future release.
