How do custom start images work with Start8? I'd like to make my own.

Hello, I'd like to make my own custom start menu icon in Start8 but I'm not aware of what format I am to use.

 

This is the image I want to make into an icon:

start8 icon pls

or in not so bland color form;

 

All I know is that the image must be in the dimensions of 54 x 162 along with three different images; standalone, hover, and clicked. But what I don't know is what position must the icons be in.

The images should be stacked vertically.  The actual image size doesn't matter as Start8 will scale down if it is too large.

The order of the images is Normal, Mouseover, Pressed.
