Can't update Sins Trinity

Physical Copy

I've been trying to update Sins Trinity, from Stardock Central and the main Stardock site, but I never can.

Downloading from the site, and from SDC, the file is always corrupt.

I'd try updating through Impuse/GSA, but they always point me here.

Am on Satilite internet. (I've read that this may be whats causing this.)

Anyway, right now the only thing I can think of trying is to give my acc info to a friend, have him dl 1.34 and then burn it to a disc for me.

If you're consistently getting corrupt downloads, that is a distinct possibility. Other options could be bad RAM, etc.

One thing to try if you're having that trouble is using a download manager since those tend to be better at avoiding connection-related corruption.

Kryo, A LOT of users have been complaining about a corrupt trinity installer since the thanksgiving sale. Something about it only installing 60 some mega bytes worth. I'm not sure if this is related, but if it is it seems too many to be random download corruption.

The installer is corrupt, nothing installs.

Downloading with Jdownloader, hopefully it won't be corrupted.

Downloaded, tried installing. Installer works, this time, but only 60 mb was installed.  X|

So, does anyone know where I can get a installer, that actually... you know... works?

Edit - Just for the hell of it, I tried opening the downloaded installer with winrar. Open up, had two files. Setup.exe, and SinsTrinity-en.7z. Extracted the files, extracted stuff from the 7z, and it's working now.

I've probably got a dozen (give or take a few) messed up registry entries from the improper 'installation' but at least it's works.

Anyway, my guess is that the installer is damaged and isn't reading from/transferring stuff from the folders and is instead just installing/transferring all of the loose files in the archive.
