What Happens If I try to Install Stardock Apps Intended for Windows 8 on a Windows 7 Machine?

I am curious to try to install Win8 apps such as Start8 or Decor8- Will they install at all & what will they do if the do?

Having just purchased Object Desktop to run on my Win7 Home Premium 64-bit machine, I am curious to try to install Start8 & Decor8 on my PC- I paid for them, I want to use them (maybe, for something....).

Has anyone tried installing any of the new Windows 8 Stardock apps on a Windows 7 PC? More specifically, Win7 Home Premium 64-bit?

I expect the installer to detect that I am attempting to install onto the wrong OS version & not allow me to do so...but what if it does? I already have a Start Menu- what happens if I run Start8?

I don't want to screw anything up with my OS. I know, curiosity killed the cat, but they also have 9 lives, so (enough with the analogies....)

Neither Start8 or Decor8 should be used on Windows 7 and the installers will inform you.
