Yahoo has revamped Yahoo email for speed and looks.

MS has given the “Outlook” look to Yahoo’s email, as well as for W8 according to Lifehacker.

Other selling points? Supposedly twice as fast with more advanced spam protection. Nice.

Also, you can change the theme easily and quickly from the "options" box... easy peasy.

There are also new apps for the new email as well... for Apple, W8 and regular W7 tablets.

So, when did MS take over Yahoo mail?  I had no idea.

Been looking. I see no mention of MS owning/changing Yahoo mail.

Where did you get that?

Not giving you a hard time, just trying to understand.

Seen it already. Threw me for a loop at first. Only thing I don't like is when you delete from the inbox it goes to trash, then you gots to delete it again. Talk about hard work. lol

Uvah, you do realize, I hope, that there is a reason for that?

Ever mistakenly delete something?  Do the math.... X|

Should have written Yahoo revamps its look. It is a lot faster... that's for sure. Forgot their deal fell through. Bad decision on Yahoo's part. Their worth has dropped considerably...

Still says MS gave the Outlook look.  But yeah, we get the point.

Mine still looks the same as always too.

You need to look at the topmost bar where the Y and your name appear along with sign out and "newest version of Y! mail"are.

Click on the "newest version" then, when that page appears click on "Mail Home" - upper right. The skins thing is via options. You can also arrane different types of previews of the mail there.

I've never had anything even close to a 'Yahoo' anything.   They always seemed to be the culprit for adding toolbars when you most said 'no'....

Closest  would be Slim Pickens in the movie DSOHILTSWALTB ....;)

I don't see that Doc. You see, above. what I see.

Doc, I'd have to go back to Classic mode to see that link, and I can't get back to classic mode.  I have been using the new yahoo mail for a few years now. Classic is no longer an option.  My current version has no such link.

Yes... what happens when you click "Convert"? (don't DARE answer in Yiddish).

Also, what is under Options? If you see "Themes", click on it. Do you see this (Themes lightbox)?

Yes, I see themes....Now the screenshot you show there is what I have, and have had for at least two/three years..

It appears maybe you stumbled upon some "old news"?

Convert isn't there Doc. As I said, I've been using the "new" Yahoo Mail for a few years now.
