Loading saves of multiplayer games does not work properly

As the title says, i am playing with my 2 buds a game for 2 straight hours, then suddenly internet goes down for a moment, i can see that as the skype call with them gets disrupted....

but in a moment the connection is fine again, so i am thinking, autosaves to save our lives....NOT! It wont work. One of them can join the game in the lobby, but the other wont for shit, he just keeps popping there for a second and then disappears. Apparently it says something to him along the line of "connection error, or network error - the map file does not match"...so WTF? We have a same version, i specifically asked, the latest Rebellion one - 1.1.4480. Anyway. if we did not, i suppose we could not play the game together at all in the first place

Can anyone help please? What shall we do? Its not the first time it happened and its fairly annoying not to finish one sngle game and start over and over just at the moment, we are starting to get the good thing in the game (like level 6 titans).

thanks

EDIT: Apparently, he downloaded to the game some language update, which translates to our language. Can this be a problem? Me and the other guy play the game in english.

EDIT 2: So he removed the language thing, i sent him mine Font and String folder, so he has it in english again...and when he tries to connect, it says "Network Error - Your GalaxyScenario file differs from host"....so ok, i sent him mine galaxyscenario.def file, he says he does not have one - then he finds out, he has one in the Galaxy folder, while i do in GameInfo folder....anyway rewriting his file with mine does not help, neither rewriting entire Galaxy folder... :(O  still the same error... what the fuck is this all about?

EDIT 3: I found this after all: https://forums.stardock.com/438440

this is exactly our problem. Tried to fix it the way suggested there, deleting galaxyscenario and verifying the integrity, no work...  this needs to be fixed ASAP! Otherwise the whole saving mechanism is just pointless....

EDIT 4: If he tries to load the save and i try joining it, it says "GalaxyScenario file differs from hosts" on my side as well.

Hi, same probleme here. Got the same message. The strange thing is when u start a new game it works, seems galaxyfiles will not be compared then, just when u try to load a game. Tried several things up to now, nothing worked.

OK, problem solved, as per other thread (thanks Synekar!), i had to get the save from my buddy and copy it over my own, then it finally worked.

Bottom line, i think this needs to be fixed, what is the point of creating the saves on both his and mine side, if they are not identical and you need to send them yours anyway... its surely a bug. Frogboy said they read almost every thread, so i hope they read this and will do something about it. Ofc, if its technically possible.

Perhaps you should send "both" savegames to the developers.

The feature works well for me, so it might be a singular issues that most people dont have.
